We are foreign owned and our collection of English books in Xi'an is top class. We are also proud of our extremely cozy environment, and easily the best coffee in Xi'an.

Our cafe is unique in Xian as we provide a total english environment which is perfect for students studying English in Xian to practise with natives or tourists and expats who want to reboot that English or just chill out for a while.

Covering a range of genres from business, technology, leadership or politics to page turners such as thrillers, travel and romantic chick lit- we have got something you will love. Please browse some of our genres for a small sample of what we have to offer.

The idea is Silkroad English Book Cafe and Library can nourish Xi'an as a community assisting with development into a truley international city. In this sense Silkroad is undoutedly without peers among cafes in xian.We hope to introduce Xi'an to some foreign culture and a global perspective, while at the same time absorbing the cultural and historical wonderland that is Xi'an. Just like the original Silkroad we are here to bridge cultures and facillitate lasting cross boundary friendships. In this way our lofty mission is create a harmonious society through mutual understanding.

Although we are located in the heart of Xi'an near the Muslim Quarter, like all good book stores, we are a bit tricky to find the first time.
